yahooBuzzArticleHeadline = "Recycle ink cartridge"; yahooBuzzArticleSummary = "Let those Ink cartridges last longer! We spend a lot of money on the office stationary every year. All our efforts to create paperless offices are still a long way to go. We are still using our printers a great deal. We spend an enormous amount of money on printer ink cartridges both for official and personal use. At least some of us have learnt how to make the ink cartridges last for longer. All of us need to learn these tricks so that we can save a great deal on the ink cartridges that cost almost the price of a new printer."; yahooBuzzArticleType = "text"; yahooBuzzArticleId = window.location.href; Recycle ink cartridge
We produce thousands and thousands of empty printer ink cartridges each year. All these empty cartridges are thrown away and they will remain for decades as they are not biodegradable products. On the one hand it is wastage of resources and on the other hand throwing away the cartridges pollutes the earth. There are many companies across the nation that recycle empty inkjet cartridges.
We can think of many reasons why we should recycle ink cartridge against the sole reason that the printer ink companies will run out of business when we start recycling the ink cartridges and if we use refill inks in place of original cartridges. When a cartridge is recycled you save a great deal on the production cost. It has also been noticed that each time a cartridge is recycled almost 3 to 4 oz. of oil is saved. As the production cost is reduced you will be able to get your refilled cartridges at a heavily discounted price. Sometimes you can save up to 50 to 60% of the original cost. In terms of the quality, the prints taken out of these recycled ink cartridges do not show any marked difference when compared with the printouts taken using original cartridges.
You can easily have the cartridge recycled by mailing the empty cartridges to the recycling company in a prepaid envelop. The recycling company will send you back the refilled cartridge after professionally processing the empty cartridge.
The quality of the recycling process is refined day by day to ensure that the performance of the recycled ink cartridge does not deteriorate. Also the quality of the refill ink too is improved to a great extent. So you are able to get almost the same quality as the original cartridge at a much cheaper price. One of the reasons how this is possible is that the popular brands price their products high and make use of a certain portion of the cost for advertising their product aggressively which makes them popular and we buy those products because they are popular. Thus a vicious circle that is fed by our money is created to the advantage of the popular brands. So we end up paying for advertising the products that we buy.
This is one of the reasons why the printer ink cartridge companies do not like to lose their business. They try to sell their high priced products in the pretext of originality, quality, etc. They also sow fear in the minds of their customers who try to recycle ink cartridge saying that if they do not use the original products they can damage the printer.
However, you are free to use your discretion and free to weigh the pros and cons of recycling the ink cartridges. When you decide to recycle your ink cartridge make sure that you identify a reputed recycling company so that you do not become a victim. There are a number of good companies around and there are also unfortunately equally good number of companies that take their customers for a ride. Make sure to identify the right company to recycle your ink cartridge.
